Metric Marketing is looking for a strategic, resourceful, and growth-oriented individual with strong communication skills to join our team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). In this role, you will be working with the CEO and the Metric team to develop, communicate, and execute business growth strategies that drive additional revenue for Metric and clients. You will also be responsible for nurturing those leads and, ultimately, closing on new revenue opportunities.

This position will be tasked with leading Metric Marketing’s strategy by continually developing and improving a comprehensive marketing plan, including website expansion, content marketing, organic strategy, email marketing, sales enablement, regular social presence, case studies, video assets & education, paid search, paid social, etc. You will have a team to implement these recommendations, but your perspective will be vital in order to ensure we are moving in the right direction and supporting your sales and business development efforts. Job duties may include the following:
Lead prospects through the sales process
Establish and attend outreach efforts such as conference attendance, networking events, speaking engagements, educational workshops, sponsorship opportunities, etc.
Improve internal business development processes including following up with leads, pipeline management & reporting, standardizing proposals, creating automated workflows, etc.
Spearhead thought leadership opportunities including Search Engine Land, Moz, Entrepreneur, Forbes, etc.
Effectively communicate growth strategies to get buy-in from key stakeholders
Effectively and consistently report on and improve upon growth strategies
Serve as point-of-contact for clients during onboarding, and in conversations related to expanding their account, increasing monthly services, and goal setting
Work collaboratively with team to ensure client strategies and hour allocation are aligned with client goals, and ultimately are driving the best results
Assist with business operations including company organization, hiring plan, and creating business projections that accurately inform our plans to scale
Develop proposals and presentations
Fully manage client sales from start to finish: conversations, proposals, paperwork, handoff to the team
Meet with clients, prospective clients, external vendors
Work with Head of Finance to assess risk using financial, statistical & economic data
Analyze workload and project need for hiring changes
Develop and implement long-term growth strategies, as well as shorter term, monthly and quarterly sales goals

2+ years of digital marketing experience, with a broad understanding of digital marketing
2+ years of sales experience, agency setting preferred
Proven track record of working collaboratively to execute on strategies that involve multiple specialists
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong familiarity with digital marketing & sales enablement technology
