Social Media Strategist

Metric Marketing is looking for an experienced Social Media Strategist. This is a contract position, and this role will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to increase online presence for Metric Marketing and its clients.

You will report to the Marketing Director and Content Manager, who will rely on you to utilize media platforms to promote company brands and increase customer awareness.

Social Media Strategist Job Summary

This role is responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies for Metric Marketing and its clients to support and improve online presence and overall digital marketing efforts.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years developing and executing social media strategies
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media best practices
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to write & edit compelling content to match necessary tone and voice


  • Develop and manage social media strategies
  • Measure success of social media campaigns
  • Use social media tools including but not limited to HubSpot
  • Identify target audiences and schedule posts to maximize exposure
  • Work with Content Manager and Graphic Designer to execute social campaigns and manage monthly editorial calendar


  • This is a part-time, contract position with the potential to grow into a full-time role
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience
  • Must be readily available during office hours via email, Slack, and Teamwork


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in English or writing
  • 2+ years of digital marketing or content marketing experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong familiarity with agency setting
  • Remote work is okay, but we prefer candidates who can come into our Ann Arbor office in person
